Nothing is more important than trust, so why is it so low and what do we do to restore it? My friends Stephen Covey and Greg Link are crusaders for trust and I highly recommend you take a look at this book. Thank you Greg and Stephen for all that you do and have yet to do in helping society.

The Essence of Personal Integrity: What is personal integrity and why is there not more? | JDMessinger
The Essence of Personal Integrity: What is personal integrity and why is there not more? | JDMessinger
I started a discussion forum in my fan club on LinkedIn, Power of Essence with JD Messinger, to start a discussion on the essence of cadinal virtues and values and why there seems to be such a decline in society. See Power of Essence forum by clicking here.
One of the members asked this question, "Personal Integrity - why is it not valued more in our culture?"
Let me take a stab at providing my thoughts. I encourage everyone to share theirs!
Integrity is defined by Encarta World Dictionary as follows:
possession of firm principles: the quality of possessing and steadfastly adhering to high moral principles or professional standards
completeness: the state of being complete or undivided ( formal ) "the territorial integrity of the nation"
wholeness: the state of being sound or undamaged ( formal )"public confidence in the integrity of the voting process"
Those are interesting but not extremely practical. Here is my definition:
"Personal integrity is very simply when a person says what they mean, means what they say, and does what they say they will do."

Part II: If Matter is Not Solid, Why Don't We Fall Through the Floor? | JDMessinger
Part II: If Matter is Not Solid, Why Don't We Fall Through the Floor? | JDMessinger
About a year ago I wrote a blog entitled ‘Matter is not solid, time is not linear and death is not the end’ and I find it amazing that this short blog is the single most popular item on my site. Despite a few hundred radio interviews from global experts and several hundred articles and blogs, the only item that gets more hits is my homepage. It must be striking a cord because it doesn’t matter what state or country, and therefore I presume, of universal interest regardless of political, religious, cultural or ethnic origins.
